Our initial brief.

After a phone call with worldwide prestige, it has been brought to my attention that we should look at the original brief. Hitch is quoted as saying that the best marks will go to the groups that stick to what they presented. Therefore I have copied the original brief that we set ourselves below:

"we were united in the decision that the quote represented the idea of admitting when you're mistaken. However, we each had a slightly different idea of what the quote meant. We decided that it could be interesting to each simultaneously visually represent the quote in our own personal way. We would then pass on the piece of work systematically around the table and the person adjacent to us would then add their input. Essentially 'correcting' eachothers work/mistakes.

Within 30 minutes we will have transformed something, just like actors are transformed into a character after the 30 minutes. The display of our work will be the performance.

Further development: how these pieces changed at half hour intervals by the environment"

Obviously not necessarily exactly to the brief, but we do need to have it in mind when we decide our final outcome, as its what they will be expecting when we present.

  2. just a quick note- prestige might be saying this to sabotage our group...as we all know sabotage is rife within uni...because if we do exactly what we said we would do at the start surely this is bad?...i know john has something to do with this master plan also,..we have made good progress and when we re-group hopefully will have some unexpected results.xxx

  5. I'd like to add the point that--->
The group that chose 'the half' idea chose it cuz they said 'it sounds like you don't know what the outcome will be which is more exciting' so technically by doing all these different things it is going back to what we said we'd do. I agree we do need to re-visit the brief and as long as the end product meets the brief we will get lots of marks for experimentation, it'd be very boring if we came to present and we only had one idea we'd done 4 the whole project, with ours we will have lots of ideas, ones that are going abit off track and others that are obvious but we will have variety! But yes a re-group is a good idea! xx
